HONEYMOON IN TOKYO !

ROAR brought me to Tokyo !!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA

It was a great trip except for the reaction to Uniqlo's Heattech. I got major skin inflammation after wearing them.

Day 1:

We took Delta Airline, SO GOOD. THERE'S MULAN AND MANY OTHER DISNEY CARTOONS AND THERE'S WE BARE BEARS AND MANY MORE SHOWS! They provide meals, pillows, covers, earphones and they serve Evian water. So wow.

My Mulan staring at my Evian

We got a NEX (Narita Express) pass at the airport to get to Shinjuku.

I SAW SNOW FOR THE FIRST TIME.

Birds taking shelter from the cold

We stayed in a hotel near Higashi Shinjuku, which is very near Korea-town. So many Korean stores around us. A little sad because I am here for Japan not Korea.
There is a Tully cafe right below the hotel, a Lawson store which is one of their convenience store. THERE'S MCDONALD'S ACROSS THE STREET. I know you must be wondering, 'Why McDonald's why?' right? Because, you see, it's a kind of thing for my sister and I. We aim to taste the fries from McDonald's in different countries. So if we travel to a new place, we would definitely get a packet of fries from McDonald's.

Fries objective: CHECKed !

We had dinner at one of the random stores along the street. IT'S LIKE YOSHINOYA EVERYWHERE !! (This isn't Yoshinoya hor)

Day 2:

I woke up really early which scared Roar. I wore my Uniqlo Heattech's gloves, innerwear and tights. With my SHU UEMURA Lightbulb foundation. The foundation works really well in this weather. My face stayed well hydrated despite the harsh winter wind.
5/5 for the Foundation.

Ohayo!

We went to the Meji Temple at like 8am ? HAHAHA Rush hour and all. We're crazy, I know. We alighted at Harajuku Station to get to the Temple. As far as we know, there's two ways to get to the temple.

1) Mejijingu-Mae
2) Harajuku Station

So here we are at Meji. I wore regular flats, and my feet was freezing. My hands were freezing. That's why we didn't take much photos. I refuse to take my hands out of my pocket and I didn't know how to use the heatpacks ! (Such noobs)

FYI: Two types of heatpack. 1) Regular hand warmer heatpack: Put in your pocket, wait for it to slowly heat up with your body temperature. Don't keep taking them out of your pockets.

2) Paste on your body heatpack: Simple, paste on your back or belly lor. HAHA

The entrance !

We made our cold walk towards the temple. There are ice everywhere, as far as I know, it's kind of dangerous because it's slippery.

See ice everywhere. That's why you have to thread carefully.

At the temple, we had to cleanse ourselves.

Step 1: Wash your hands

Step 2: Rinse your mouth by sipping water from your cupped hands NOT directly from the scoop.

Then I have to say, the water IS VERY COLD.

Tourist Shot

Nothing was opened, because we were too early for ANYTHING. Best timing to get out of your hotel is 9am. I woke up at 6am, and left at 7am. There's nothing much.

After walking around the temple, we went to Harajuku Street. We were so cold we bought soup from a vending machine along the street. YES SOUP! Tasty corn soup! Warmed ourselves.

We also saw this store and I was happy to know 'Singapore' can be found in Tokyo.

We tried to get to PomPom Purin Cafe, but the staff there just ignored us. I know we were too early, and I just wanna ask about their opening hours but they just IGNORED ME. Oh ya, I have met with plenty of unpleasant sales person in Japan. =( I don't know why people treat me like that. When we were getting our train ticket for our ride to the airport, the uncle threw my tickets because he can't understand English. It's seriously sad after all the awesome reviews about their service. Not all bad la, we are still able to meet nicer staff. But it's still sad that I have to meet the black sheeps.

Was there, at the door ONLY =(

STOP DIGRESSING. Back to my point.

We went off, and guess what? A CALBEE STORE ! LIKE WOAH ! And it's OPENED !!

(I.cannot.contain.myself)

310 Yen

We were like first customers of the day! We ordered the Harajuku Special, Butter and Maple Syrup (310Yen). Freshly made ! Hot chips ! So happy.

We also went to get a Crepe because they are everywhere (in Harajuku)

Then we made our way to Shibuya to find my Cinnamoroll Cafe!

We were one of the earliest there!

The food ! Food wise, it's alright. We got the Chiffon Cake that comes with a cup of fruits and the Beef Stew and the Soda!

Merchandise !

Then we found ourselves in a Disney store nearby ! WHEEEEEEE. Many many cute stuff !
(I.still.cannot.contain.myself)

Then we head over to Muji, and I bought my first pair of boots for 1600YEN ! BEST BUY EVER. We also had a small meal at the cafe. Roughly 1200Yen for a set with brown rice.

Two Cold Dish, Two Hot Dish.

My Muji Boots ! (Clearance SALE)

AND THEN. We walked over to Harajuku again to get ramen,
Kyusyu Jangara Ramen. We had a Tonkotsu Based Soup (basically Pork based soup), Rice with Minced Meat and PopSoda. The staff was really nice, they helped to get the marble out of the bottle for me <3
He is obviously very happy =D

We walked around Harajuku and head over to a Owl Cafe! (1500Yen/pax)

Everything is owl themed. Roar was so happy with the Owls. (He.cannot.contain.himself)

We went to the Pokemon Centre, got ourselves some cute doughnuts and a cup of bubble tea at the Moomin Cafe.

At Tokyu Hands, we saw a Newt.

Day 3:

To the Fish Market!

Shopping! Eating!

By the end of the second day, my skin was mad and angry. I had developed a reaction to the heattech by the end of the second day. But I continued to wear it on the third day to see if it's really the heattech and it got worst. Basically my hands, legs and body is covered in this. Angry angry rash.

Obviously not suitable for heattech. I stopped wearing the tights on the 4th day.

Disneyland day!

I was itching all over, my skin hurts. I was feeling horrible. But it's Disneyland. I came all the way here to visit this magical place. So with all the itch and pain, WE ARE HERE! In couple pullover and shoes =D
(I wore heattech socks and knit skirt because I didn't bring any other socks or pants, bummer)

Star Wars, Our first ride

We bought the Stitch Popcorn Bucket! Wanted the Little Green Men or R2D2 but sold out..... Their popcorn buckets comes in many designs and their popcorn WOW. We tried every flavour available! Soy-sauce, Chocolate Milk, Milk tea, Honey WOAH! And Roar's must have Ice-cream.

We also tried the Little Green Men Mochi!

Mandatory tourist shot

We had our meal at the East Side Cafe. I would say it's worth it and very well priced. Free flow drinks and bread. =D

We saw the fireworks, bought more merchandise then went back to rest. Roar has been nice, he packed everything while I was taking care of my skin. It was inflamed by the end of the day.

 Last day:

We had our breakfast nearby.

Then took the NEX back to Narita.

A meal before our flight.

Bye Tokyo, would love to come back again!

What I learnt:

I soon realise winter isn't as 'cool' as it seemed. My buddy, SF was right. Winter is horrible. I was desperately finding heater during the entire trip.

Also thank you Roar for being so accommodating and nice to me <33
